“Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend.”

“Great place to stay to visit Monteverde. It a good deal in this touristic area. The room was clean, so the shared bathroom was. Easy self parking on site and the hotel is walkable for the center of Santa Elena. ”

The next day, the front desk person said they close at 8, then retracted and said he waited until 9 pm. That was not the case. I used the online chat to let them know we would arrive at the last minute - I was afraid of a language barrier on the phone. The front desk never picked up the chat. “Hostel basic but in good position for town, buses and activities. Helpful English speaking staff and good pancake and banana breakfast.”

“Room without window, terrible light. Reception was like the living room of the family, where they looked TV what we heard. The hostel was located in a main road, very loud. We had to open 2 gates and 2 doors to get in our room. We felt like being in a jail. Much too expensive!!!”
