“Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Restaurant was great, bedroom facilities met all my expectations. Great location in the city centre and right next to the stunning Pittencrieff Park. Highly recommend!”

“Really enjoyed my stay here, was greeted at reception and informed of facilities and also given local takeaway menu as I was hungry, from here we went to 2nd floor room, we took the stairs though there is an elevator (2 people max) after getting unpacked etc we grabbed food and used the kitchen facilities behind lobby. After which we took a short walk to the Kelpies, we were given directions by lovely member of staff. After a great nights sleep I enjoyed a coffee and biscuit from the facilities……

“Went down at 8:30 ran out of orange juice and only one waitress serving. Had an evening dinner and had at least 5 serving very efficient. ”

“This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. ”

“Die Unterkunft ist äußerlich recht nett anzusehen und die Dame an der Rezeption war freundlich sowie das Frühstück gut.Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und alles funktioniert. Allerdings ist die Ausstattung schon sehr abgelebt und in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen im hauseigenen Hotelrestaurant war gut, aber die Bedienung leider sehr langsam, überfordert und unaufmerksam. Wir mussten teils lange auf eine Reaktion oder Essen warten. Einzelne Fragen und Bitte um Zahlung wurden völlig vergessen, so dass……

“Enjoyable one night stay. Hotel and the grounds are clean and well presented,, staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. He’s was very comfortable, and clean. Food was nice. My only critique was the shower - the glow was very poor despite trying all settings. Would book again though ”

“The castle is very unique! The lift was broken when I was there so it was a long way up the stairs but such a great room! Loved the reading nook in the torrent!”
