"I like the vintage vibe of the Freehand and how well maintained that it is. The property had plenty of amenities like a rooftop pool and bar, on-site restaurant, gym and guest lounge. The hotel is centrally located in Downtown L.A. to bars, stores, shops and food. The only thing that I disliked is when staff would walk into my room without knocking at 9:30 am, this happened twice during my stay."

"Everything was great. But took off a star for the hefty "surprise fees" they charge for basic things like Wi-Fi. Outrageous!"

"Front desk staff was great shout out to Andy!!!!! Hotel was beautiful, room clean. They were shooting a movie while I was there and even with all the traffic from that valet was great very organized car was up asap!!! This hotel will be my go to spot when visiting LA!"

"The property was clean and the decor is fun. It’s a decent hotel close to shops and restaurants and dodgers stadium. Multiple paid parking lots are available close by. However, we stayed there prior and returned because of the rooftop bar and the basement bar/lounge. When we arrived we were told the bar was for private events only and the basement bar was closed indefinitely! And yet they still charged us a $29/night “resort fee”. Also, going to the lobby to ask for ice is kinda a pain. ...

"This is an excellent option if you have to stay in DTLA. A safe oasis with very high quality food. Very comfortable bed and room. Unfortunately it can get very pricey quite quickly. I would return but do more research into alternative dining venues. "
