“This was very disappointing. It was not cleaned. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it The wastebasket under the sink was full. The bathrooms were not clean. The house smelled of cats. The owner apologized because she wasn’t able to catch one of her cats. The cat came into the house the first night and scared us.”

“An easy drive from the Twin Cities, this was a perfect couples getaway! We enjoyed this sunny cabin’s wraparound windows facing the lake and three season porch. We fired up the cozy wood burning stove almost every day. Plus we like to cook and this kitchen was well laid out and had all the basics we needed to make some fantastic meals. The owner and property manager were super responsive and helpful.”

I think common sense tells a person to treat the property as if it was your own….and have a wonderful time! Such a nice person to deal with. “Stayed 3 nights. Enjoyed the birds, seeing the work of the beavers, took the canoe out. Read books sitting on the dock. The lake is small, private and quiet. No loud jet skis and speed boats disrupting your peace and quiet. We watched two DVDs they had on site one night. What a special treat that was. We didn't cook much but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Well stocked bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of seating options in the living room. The chairs on the deck are comfortable to……

“The cabin is cozy and adorable. Close to the lake which is beautiful. The furniture, while old fashioned, was extremely comfortable. We spent a ton of time relaxing on the red couch! Had a few minor issues. The chain in the toilet kept coming loose, causing issues with flushing, and the water pressure in the sink and shower were near nothing. It was also extremely cold in the bedroom, despite us adjusting the heat, and the portable heater in the bedroom did not work. Overall, we seriously……

“This was our 2nd stay and we enjoyed ourselves. This was a weekend away with my kids who are college age. Was a wonderful weekend playing cards. Fishing and floating on the lake in the pontoon. Jeff and Lindsay are awesome hosts.”

“The River Lodge is gorgeous and very spacious. We were able to host our intimate wedding ceremony and dinner (30 guests) and the property was beautiful. One guest booked their future family reunion after experiencing the lodge! We would definitely recommend staying here! The hosts have great communication and are very responsive!”

“This is a cute motel. The property was clean and we had excellent communication. We were able to get an early check in when we called which was wonderful. Check in and check out was easy and convenient which doesn’t always happen with motels which have been updated. The walls are paper thin, so if you are a person that needs quiet I would say this is not the place for you. The bathroom was clean but the tub was not updated(think pink). This meant a nice big tub even if it was pink from another……
