The cabin is located only 10 miles from Girdwood and half an hour from Anchorage. Bring your bikes and ride the Bird to Gird paved trail along the ocean or take it to Bird Creek to go fishing only 1 mile away. The road to the cabin connects directly to the Bird to Gird trail with a pedestrian tunnel under the highway. We've spent several months breathing new life into this quaint chalet so you can enjoy a relaxing getaway surrounded by trees, the ocean, and mountains. Whether you call Alaska home or you're just looking for a place to stay while visiting Alaska, our Bird Creek Chalet is the peaceful and cozy escape you're looking for.
No Smoking or Vaping Indoors or near exterior doors. Please make sure to SHOWER BEFORE USING THE HOT TUB and remove makeup. Do not add any chemicals or shock. The downstairs remodel is finally finished and the downstairs living room with the 65" TV, Bar, Bedroom, Bathroom, and Laundry are all yours to enjoy! There is a neighbor about 50 yards away from the cabin on one side. Please be respectful. They are super nice. It is about a 1/2 mile dirt road to get there but its not in bad shape. It's plowed and not steep but we would recommend all wheel drive, 4 wheel drive, and snow tires for winter stays. Please put trash in the bear cans and do not leave trash bags outside as there are bears in the area as well as ravens that will make a mess of it. Upon checkout please start the dishwasher as well as a load of towels and sheets.
