“It was perfect! We were all getting burnt out so a nice relaxing and peaceful get away tucked beneath the pines was what me, my husband, and my dog Lily needed. We invited our friends to stay with us for the night and they loved it, such a good time. The hosts really thought of everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home there and comfortable. The cabin itself was beautiful and perfectly decorated and very inviting also super clean which was a plus! Our dog Lily also felt really……

“My daughter and I stayed at Carl’s place for a few days to see the eclipse. The chalet is absolutely lovely and we loved waking up each morning to the sunrise & the trees and the view of the lake…it was magical. Carl was nothing but wonderful and is there to make your stay memorable. Would definitely recommend!”

“We had a great time in this clean cabin. There’s plenty of space for our two families and the game room in the basement kept the teens occupied. Checkin was a breeze and Mike was available if needed. We enjoyed watching the deer walk through the backyard and stargazing at night. Great spot!”

“We came here for a few days during the solar eclipse. Melissa and scott, the care talkers, were very sweet and attentive. A car accident had actually knocked out power to the whole town just before we showed up, but the place has a generator so we still had everything! cabin is a10 minute walk from town which was really fun to explore! We saw a mama and baby deer in the back yard on day 1. The kids (9 &14) could not get enough of the Foosball table and the adults discover the ring & hook game on……

We would absolutely stay here again. Sean and Linda were easy to get ahold of, and Linda graciously answered my question about a local attraction before our stay.”

“We booked this property and filled each bed with friends to experience the eclipse. While the host couldn't control the weather, it ended up being the perfect location (and experience)! The house was just as described and the kitchen was fully stocked with every pan or utensil you could think of, which was helpful as we prepared each meal at the house (all ten of us fit around the table). Central location - we took a walk to the train depot, fire pit was used to cook lunch over, plenty of hot……

“The location of the Steamboat Lodge could not be better. It is close to VIEW (with lots of free or affordable fun family activities), Calypso Cove, Water Safari, the Pied Piper, the North Street playground, and all of downtown. The small semi private beach was perfect for our 6 small grandchildren. The property must get a lot of use! There are several small items that could be attended to make the place even better (e.g., some of the beds are not very comfortable or sturdy, the cleaning process……

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is very large and there is quite a bit of privacy as it is quite far from any main road. The scenery was beautiful. It was great having two motorized fishing boats. The fishing was very so-so. We caught mostly pickerel and some smaller sized smallmouth bass but it was a bit slow and we would often go many hours in between bites. Gary was fantastic. He showed us around the property and was very easy to communicate with throughout the trip. The Wifi……

“This is the second time we have rented this house. It's the perfect size for us. House is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Rhi is a sweetheart to communicate with. The location is perfect ... Not far from village of Old Forge. Great store across the street as well as the steakhouse restaurant which is really good. Love the sunroom to relax in after a day of sightseeing and shopping. View is awesome...nice golf course. If looking for a great rental, can't go wrong!”

“This was a great experience. The eight of us enjoyed the Palmer Point House. The reality was better than the pictures, and the pictures were wonderful. Everyone commented that the place was beyond their expectations and they would want to go back. We rented the boats form next door and that too was a great experience. Very glad we found this palce and rented it.”
