“This property was perfect for our visit back to Alfred. It’s very close to the village but far enough away that nighttime was quiet and peaceful, and the architecture of the space is one of a kind. Peter was a great host and I’d highly recommend this for anyone visiting Alfred.”

“My family has stayed in this home twice. The home is beautiful and spacious enough for a group of 8. The kitchen has been upgraded but does lack some basic essentials. As the listing states the home is going through some renovations but there was little to no impact to us other than the hot water in one of the bathrooms was dripping and didn’t actually turn on. I emailed the property manager so hopefully it will be addressed before the next stay.”

“The house was perfect for our family weekend get-a-way! The views outside were just beautiful! Although the weather was rainy and cloudy most of the time, it didn’t stop the kids from fishing and paddle boating in the pond every day. We all had a great time and would definitely go back again and can only imagine how amazing it would be to see the stars on a clear night.”

“We loved our stay at this rental. We were in town for a college visit at St.Boneventure and this was a quick 30 min drive for us. Cozy home that was clean, and easy to access. The shower and bathroom set up for a tiny house was beautiful. Only suggestion would be the TV set up is a little small and awkward and I feel there is room for a larger bed in the loft area. Was just a little to small for 2 people.”

The fact that it’s so spacious is perfect, you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Great kitchen! Very thoughtful Coffee Bar. And the beds are really comfortable. “The home is spacious & well laid out with tons inside and out to do. Our teens kept busy playing pool, using the paddle boat in the pond and running outside with dogs! Internet & smart TV’s were great. The house has several different hangout areas and was well appointed. A Christmas tree was purchased for the house to add a special perk for our vacation (thank you Dan!) Communication was absolutely fantastic with property contact! I personally loved cooking dinner and watching deer in the……

“This was a great place with plenty of room. The amenities were excellent. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and the shower experience! We didn't even have time to use the hot tub or outdoor spaces that are thoughtfully set up. There were options for kids, the theater room was super cute, and we comfortably prepared and served dinner for our large family. Our only regret is not finding this excellent value, just 20 minutes from Houghton College, sooner!”

“This property exceeded all expectations and is reasonably priced. The location on the lake is provides privacy and is ideal for swimming or boating. All amenities were in working order and the house was stocked with everything you needed. The deck area is situated to host a large group comfortably and all furniture is modern and comfortable. “We arrived Friday May 24th 2024 at around 6:30ish. Has been awhile since I’ve been in New York State. No cell service and it wasn’t until I signed back into VRBO that I received instructions how to get into the cabin. Cabin is absolutely gorgeous. As others commented about the smell of smoke, well yeah, there is a wood stove. I heat my mountain home with wood, smelled of home. We brought our lovely lady along with us, she is 9 years old, she isn’t a fan of the flooring lucky we brought her bed.……

“We went to escape city life and experience a little country living and boy did this place deliver. Baby goats and free range chickens and kind hosts made this weekend getaway just what we needed. Additionally my daughter accidentally left her beloved stuffed animal behind and the host offered to mail it to us when they found it. Highly recommend.”
