“Unfortunately our reason for visiting the area was a family funeral, but we could not have been happier with our stay at Chateau Monroe. The hosts thought of literally everything, and when you’re traveling with small children (and dogs), having what you need after a long drive is priceless. Chateau Monroe was spotless, and so cozy and we loved the modern and industrial decor and touches. It’s obvious a lot of thought and love was put into this home. “Fun location with plenty of indoor & outdoor space”

“We were more than thrilled with the home provided through VRBO. The location and floor plan of the were really good and we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the enclosed porch. Additionally, we had not expected to find the special amenities that were provided. This residence is a great place to stay.”

“Cute remodel of an older home in the town of Olney, IL. Quiet neighborhood with friendly folks. The host was very responsive (like immediately!) to questions as well a minor issue of logging into the streaming TV services. Speaking of which, there are very nice, large flat-screen TVs in every bedroom (3) and living room, which was greatly appreciated during March Madness. The house has a few quirks, but very comfortable and cozy, with everything you need for a few nights or even a longer stay.”

“Great location. House is roomy with lots of activity areas. Sleeps 8 but hard to feed 8 (only 5 glasses, 7 mugs, fewer forks than spoons and knives). We had room to spread out and really enjoyed the eclipse while we were there.”
