"We literally were just looking for a place to lay our heads for a night, a pit stop on our way to the Ozarks. What we got was a lovely experience, friendly owners, nice room and tasty breakfast tucked away in a quiet neighborhood close to the river and unique places to choose from for dinner. Fair price and overall would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. The Inn is full of antiques and many other things to look at. "

They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. "Walking in the door to the sound of a voice calling out "Cheri is that you?" set the tone for what proved to be a most pleasant stay. Brenda has put her heart and soul into this BnB and it shows in every way. Breakfast was a full, delicious buffet, the room was so comfortable I was asleep in minutes, and the menagerie of critters is a real treat. Brenda makes everyone feel comfortable and genuinely cares about ensuring they have a terrific experience. I'd return to Iowa just to stay here......
