Amazing resort!! Loved every second of it. Have been twice so far. Beautiful beach, beautiful pool area, and the staff is amazing and friendly. Food is amazing too. Ate a bunch of different things every night and didn't get sick once. Access to the Santa Fe too which was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Loved the people and the service - however the pool area is only accessible by going down a steep ramp or stairs which makes it inconvenient for people with mobility issues. Also- we were caught off guard with the amount of black flies - dead and alive around the resort -

Great time. Friendly and attentive staff. Great food options at the buffet. Loved the views. Gorgeous property. Well maintained and clean. Love the spacious rooms.

10/10!! Amazing Stay & a Memorable Holiday here at RIU Palace. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids and we LOVED Everything about the hotel.
Cleanliness, Timely Housekeeping, Safe and Super Friendly Staff. LOTS of pool activities by RIU staff and a cute kids only water park @RIULand !! Lots of Meal and Dessert Options on the TWO Buffet style restaurants on property and a Lovely Ocean View seating @SanJose Italian restaurant.
NO rude or forced timeshare conversations which is what we loved the MOST about RIU.
IMP Note: I will HIGHLY Recommend doing the Online Pre Checkin before you arrive at the hotel. This abouds the long queues at reception. I did while on our way to the hotel in the convenient Destination Services Shuttle Bus and because of that our total check in process took like 5-10 minutes. Really.
We will definitely come again ..

We stayed here from May 18-25th we were a party of 13 people. Our family has personally stayed at 6 different rius for a total of 10 times and this one was by far the worst. We have previously stayed at RIU Jalisco,Vallarta, and Palace (PV) , Tequila and Cancun all of which were substantially better than this one. All 13/13 people in our party got food poisoning as experienced travellers not eating beach food or drinking tap water. Best food opens at 11 by the pool where its build your own soft tacos. The food and al la cartes are the worst ive ever seen with either raw / undercooked poultry/fish or cooked to death beef. People actively urinating/and others in the pool and around the pool. We had 2 days no internet , 2 separate days no cable,3 days no hot water when inquired about this ,Reception forwards your call to maintenance which rings until it stops ringing. We went on two excursions from destinations services which were fine but overpriced (Swim with dolphins and snorkelling). Maids were certainly ungrateful as we were tipping 10USD a day and not getting anything extra (towel animals etc). As expected cant swim in the ocean in front of the resort but you can wqlk about a mile down the beach to do that if you choose. The “two queen beds” is actually two double beds pushed together.
Worst riu stay ever.
