No elevator and non refundable reservation

Hello Byron. We are sad to hear that you were disappointed with your stay at our hotel and apologize for the lack of elevators as your room was located on the second floor. For the issue resulting in the non-refundable booking, when you had booked your reservation through Expedia, you had received a discounted rate where the policy clearly states that the booking is non-refundable and not able to be changed. Our typical policy at the regular rate is changeable and cancellable up until 72-hours before check-in, but unfortunately as you had selected a different option when you booked through Expedia this was not available. Too pricy and didn't have any dinning options. But the room looked upscale and clean, so no major complains.

Property has been nicely renovated and room was very clean. The front desk was very accommodating when I needed an early check-in which was so appreciated. They were also very friendly when I spoke with them. The Bankhead Restaurant is attached and the menu is amazing. Will be back!

Mind you the dining option is not affiliated with "The Bankhead Restaurant" beside it. And theres no room call service so you have to come to the counter to ask for anything by yourself.
These are the things that you should keep in mind if you don't prefer services like that. Me, my friend, and her mother loved their services. I have no complaints for them because the staff had been really patient, nice and helpful with us. If I ever plan on visiting Canmore, I will definitely in a heartbeat choose the Northwinds Hotel Canmore.
