“We loved this property! Beautiful view and house; Sonya was incredibly helpful and there was everything you could imagine to make our stay enjoyable. The drive up from town is not easy and there were power and water outages during a storm but as we understand thats common in the jungle. We would definitely go back!”

“We had a little taste of Paradise while living at Villa Cascada. If you love nature, it is the place to stay. We woke up almost every morning to the sounds of the howler monkeys, we even saw them in a nearby tree. You are surrounded by the jungle and all its sounds and aromas. We saw lots of toucans, butterflies, birds, bats, coatis. The views are amazing. The road to the villa was scary the first time, but David waited for us on the main road and led us to the villa. You definitely need a 4x4,……

If you are looking for a place to relax and and enjoy everything this part of Costa Rica has to offer you won't find anything better. The Owners were great hosts and stayed in close contact throughout our stay. The drive up to the house from the highway is an easy one with the first portion of the road freshly paved.”

“Quaint cabin (make sure you have the correct GPS coordinates, because there are two by the same name – we were made aware of the correct location AFTER we booked). Extremely remote! Challenges with check-in/meeting the care taker. Be advised, this cabin is located 10 minutes off a main road, up a very steep, bumpy, rocky, dusty incline – a 4x4 is absolutely required and I would not advise attempting this in the rain! Bring all groceries and supplies PRIOR to check-in because the drive up and……

“There is no air-conditioning which was covered in the rental guide book and it felt like renting from a computer. There was zero communication with property management. Which is why we couldn't watch tv during our stay. Other than that it was amazing. The road others call treacherous we found invigorating. The view, the pool the outdoor shower and the wildlife we saw was well worth the trip. We would consider renting here again if we could get a line of communication with property management.”

“What an amazing trip! We actually had another property booked for this trip and got canceled on at the last minute. We were so lucky to find Castillo Del Sol it absolutely made our trip. This property is unreal! There were 11 of us and we all had a very private room. The common areas are perfect for entertaining. “Firstly the support from Shannon and Ben was fantastic - even came and met us and guided us to the property. Cannot say enough positive things about this house! Appearance fantastic, amenities in the house were first class. I advise you book, stock up on provisions and enjoy the house and its surroundings! When you do venture out visit the amazing restaurant Exotica only a 10 min drive from the house. Enjoy a great coffee at Tagua Cafe, sit in the garden with the humming birds! Only negative……

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was awesome and the WiFi worked well. We were given the wrong code to get in but luckily was able to connect to Wi-Fi and get the correct code after about 20 minutes. Very clean property and appreciated all the things like dishwasher soap and laundry soap.”

“We thought the house and property were great - we'd absolutely stay again. It was perfect for our family which included my husband, myself and our two year old daughter. Our only complaint is the communication style and responsiveness of the property manager (who isn't the owner). We asked for some cleaning help to be arranged -she said she'd coordinate it and that we would be paying a local rate (and one that was a bit higher than normal, especially for that area, but fine).
