“A beautiful quiet country setting. Very peaceful and comfortable. Enjoyed the ample breakfast that was provided. Only stools to sit on to eat. A table and chairs would have been good. Having a pool was a bonus. ”

“Had a lovely stay - glamping tents were immaculate and fitted out to a really high standard. The site was located next door to a beautiful winery and restaurant. Only constructive feedback would be that the cafe onsite opened quite late so we had to go somewhere else for breakfast”

“A comfortable quirkily-decorated house good for friends with three separate double rooms with lovely views and own bathrooms.. beautiful and quiet location. Spa not working but gorgeous sitting around fire pit. Only complaint was a lot of rules but maybe owners have had some bad experiences.”

“What an awesome experience- imagine tiny house living with ALL the amenities. Close to the vineyards and the new local tavern! Carolyn and Paul were perfect hosts available when you need them but not intrusive. It felt like we had the place to ourselves and the distance from the other cabins ensured our privacy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ”

“Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie.”

“We stayed here for one night at the weekend with my baby girl, husband and 2 couple friends. The house was amply spaced for the 7 of us, it had everything we needed including oil, coffee, a lovely selection of tea. It’s the perfect comfortable base to the hunter region. I cannot recommend this place enough. To top it off, communication with Jodie the host was quick, easy and hassle free- overall a great experience and we’ll cherish forever.”

“It all went well, apart from the way the extra cost for having a pet was revealed - felt like it was done slightly underhand. No reflection on the owner, was not his fault. But the home itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed, was nice to have breakfast included”

“This is the second time in 2 years that we have stayed here, it is so central to the vineyards whilst also being off the main roads of Cessnock, the hosts accommodate people travelling with their dog, the house is well set up, there is a lovely outdoor area, safe yard for dog with a safe indoor area for a dog to stay in also, we enjoy it here and will return again next year!”
