The rooms are not being regularly inspected (checklist, etc) to ensure everything is functioning properly. A manager should do these inspections, instead of taking the easy route by relying upon housekeeping to report everything they see. We had a toilet that easily clogged, a remote control that did not work, a cold water bathroom faucet that dribbled water but would not put out sufficient pressure and also would not fully turn off, a horribly uncomfortable sofa in which the seat cushions sank and stayed down, and electrical outlets that hung off of the wall leaving live wires exposed. Honestly, it seems that management doesn’t set foot into the rooms…they think they’re doing a good job if they simply respond to complaints instead of being proactive and looking/inspecting for issues. Some of our issues were addressed when we reported, while others (like the faucet) was not and we were given no explanation. We didn’t bother reporting the issue with electrical outlets. It did not feel as though management really wanted to know about issues.
