“Check in was brilliant. The staff allowed us to check in very early and get ready for a wedding we were attending near by. We were given complementary drinks, which was very kind of them. Our room was decorated beautifully with all of the amenities you’d need for a few nights stay. I feel like the breakfast could’ve been better. The only juice available was apple. The only fruit was watermelon or banana. A wider selection of juices and fruit, along with some pastries, would make it the……

“If you like old and quirky then this place is ideal! Yes it’s a little tired and could do with a little tlc in places but the bed was comfortable (which for me is a huge plus). It’s in a very convenient location for walking around town. Plenty of cafes etc nearby as well as Sainsbury’s and Co-Op. ”

“Great England experience in a 1000 year old inn. Central and authentic. Loved the room over the entrance with views all around. Didn’t mind banging my head on the door frame too much, but I am 5’7”! Great pub downstairs. Not modern but that is what we were looking for.”

“Brilliant stay, check in was quick and smooth. Show to our rooms which were clean and spacious with large king bed. Staff were excellent during the stay and even did us a meal which wasn't on the recently updated menu. Breakfast freshly cooked and again adapted the choice for my colleague. ”

“The booking coupon was printed that there's shower for bathing room, but actually my designated room was not the case. However, I was upgraded to an en suite. Thanks be to the manager. But, the shower place was so small and the shower head was fixed on the ceiling. There's no movable shower head. It led a bad bathing experience. Anyway, the room was very clean and very comfortable.”
