“I stayed overnight at CrossBasket Castle with my boyfriend as he received a generous voucher for the Michel Roux Jr tasting menu. The hotel and staff are absolutely brilliant and extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The food is exquisite and it’s possibly one of the finest cheese boards we have ever had. “What a pleasant surprise as it was not what I expected. Check in across the road at an enticing Indian Restaurant - able to safely park car in the Restaurant Car Park - room was very clean, comfortable bed, great shower, larger than usual TV. Room looked out on a busy dual carriageway but noise limited by glazed window and noise from pub downstairs was bearable and ended at closing time. Pricing was incredible. Will definitely be back.”
