“Brought my family and some friends to stay for weekend for daughter’s belated birthday. The house was cozy. A little rustic. Very much like the cabins at lake Taghkanic. Basic decor and nothing too expensive, which I appreciate. Particularly with a house that sleeps that many and when many of them are young adults, prone to being messy. There is a lake but you either have to drive to it to or cut through the woods on foot, as it is at a local town park. The jacuzzi was a great draw. And the pool……

“This beautiful rustic lake front chalet is very nicely appointed, decorated and has everything you need to make you feel like home. We especially enjoyed the lake front views from the very large back deck to enjoy our morning coffee. The dock on the lake was a great place to unwind and launch the provided kayaks from. This place is great and we look forward to another stay!”

“There were so many great amenities, we didn't even get to all of them! The hosts thought of everything to make the stay there just like home (but even better!). The house was spacious enough that even 11 people had space to spread out. My kids spent most of their time in the game room or outside. Although the interior walls were not well insulated, and sounds carried easily, the hosts provided white noises machines in every bedroom and so even the baby slept through all the commotion. I……

“This is an unusually attractive, perfectly clean property in a beautiful setting, within an easy drive of all sorts of outdoor and cultural activities. However, I must mention that, though the house is listed as accessible, there is a rather steep ramp up to the deck, with a step required to get into the house. Also, the house lacks toilet and shower bars, and other ADA features. Perhaps the accessible listing is an error on VRBO’s part, and I hope it will be corrected. One small nitpick - I……

“We were looking for a quiet getaway that both parents and kids will enjoy. It was perfect. Nice cozy cabin, with plenty of firewood for an indoor and outdoor fire at the pit. Surrounded by woods and a creek for the kids to enjoy. Hiking and skiing within minutes of the house. I cute town just down the road with great restaurants , cafes and a grocery store. The owner was friendly and responds quickly. Strongly recommended.”
