“This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby.”

“We stayed at the New Dawn for a Memorial Service. The setting on the water was so peaceful and private, yet easy access for those of us traveling by public transportation from Manhattan and La Guardia airport. We had chairs lined up facing the water for a Celebration of Life Ceremony. The whole downstairs layout was just wonderful with indoor and outdoor areas for people to gather, sharing memories and grief. Food platters from Costco were easily arranged and the weather was perfect. It was so……

“Older manufactured home has been updated. We appreciated that each area had its own mini split unit for individual climate control. Area felt safe and quiet. Good hot water and water pressure. Kitchen was stocked for stovetop cooking but not much for baking, and no water glasses. (We just drank everything from the coffee cups.) Split bedroom layout was good for two couples. ”

“The house is in a great location in New Rochelle, near to a train station to commute to the city and for family coming in on Amtrak from Boston. The main floor of the house is cozy with a lovely kitchen and lots of seating space. Bedrooms were a nice size and we all felt the beds were extremely comfortable. Shower was really nice, too. Owner was responsive and easy to work with throughout the process.”

“Stayed with my family for 6 days and it was perfection! This was our first time traveling with my 6 month old and I was a bit anxious but the place was beautiful, clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Carmel brought over a high chair for us, and some crib sheets, which was very thoughtful. We initially debated staying in the city but this was by far the better choice! You can’t get anything like this in the 5 boroughs (and this was literally a hop, skip and jump from the Bronx anyway). Would……

“The location was great and thre property was almost perfect for our needs. The only negative issue was ants. When we got up the first morning of our stay the counter was teeming with ants. There were several ant traps on the counters but they were pretty ineffective Otherwise, the house was great.”

“We really enjoyed relaxing on the front porch after a busy day out. Beds were very comfortable. So nice to be able to sit around and visit, instead being in a hotel, sitting on beds. We did miss having a microwave to use. Very nice and affordable.”

Host reached out several times during stay to see how things were going and offered any assistance. Would highly recommend and would stay again if something brings me back to the area.”

“The place was well decorated, organized and well appointed. The location was quiet and peaceful. The only challenge is parking, so wear your walking shoes! If you are over 5’10”, be warned: the ceilings are low. It has good lighting, good wifi, and big tv for the space. Owners were responsive and welcoming. Location requires a car or Uber, which are plentiful. It was a nice place to return to after a long day.”

“Olga’s place has been amazing! She is a wonderful host and worked with us to be flexible all the questions we had before arrival & with our crazier schedule. The space is very functional with two beds, a kitchen, and a laundry machine as well which is very helpful for a longer stay! “Three nights here as we toured the area. Check in was easy. We were able to access the VRBO app 30 minutes prior to our arrival. By the time we reached the driveway, Ruben had sent the access code.The road to the house is gravel and only wide enough for one car. We were glad we had arrived during the day.The house has an antique store vibe. Lots of books for a rainy day activity.
