“A beautiful quiet country setting. Very peaceful and comfortable. Enjoyed the ample breakfast that was provided. Only stools to sit on to eat. A table and chairs would have been good. Having a pool was a bonus. ”

“Overall 4/5. ‘Cody’ is accurate. Watertight during massive 2-day rain event, that’s a huge plus! Exterior proximity lights for deck outside cabin are not automatic. One kitchen light over fridge worked intermittently. No feedback sheet left for us, or I would use it not contact host in public like this. VRBO booking link to host not working. Cleanliness, attention to detail: bathroom bin had no liner bag & had not been emptied from previous guests, nearly full eeeeew, cleaning fee $$ is paid……

“Purpose fit for a self catering weekend relaxed getaway. Close to wineries and Hunter attractions. The hosts are the shining star of the accomodation. The hosts were fantastic, welcoming and so accomodating. Will gladly return next time in the Hunter. Thankyou for sharing your property with us. ”

“We had a lovely time My only complaint was it advised free wifi I was not able to access wifi I had brought work to do So a little disappointed I think it needs to say that wifi is hit and miss ”

“A comfortable quirkily-decorated house good for friends with three separate double rooms with lovely views and own bathrooms.. beautiful and quiet location. Spa not working but gorgeous sitting around fire pit. Only complaint was a lot of rules but maybe owners have had some bad experiences.”

“The property was superb. Spacious, classy, well appointed. The hosts have not missed a beat. Everything you could want was provided, & was superior quality, even down to the shampoo & conditioner! The kitchen far surpassed any expectations with stylish crockery & cutlery & all the gadgets associated with a luxury getaway! Complimentary wifi with access to Netflix, Stan, You Tube, etc etc. The location was ideal. Close to shops, beaches, restaurants etc literally, yet metaphorically it felt……

“This is a cute cabin in a quiet location for a restful stay yet close enough to local amenities. The owners really make you feel at home and go out of their way to give you hints & tips on how to make the most of your trip including beaches, bush walks & dining spots. Over New years the suggestion for local fireworks spots was great & a highlight for the kids. Overall a clean, cosy, well appointed cabin perfect for young families.”

“Mist in the Gums is the most peaceful place and quite beautiful. Carol is an excellent host and very friendly. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. I would thoroughly recommend Mist in the Gums to anyone. please keep in mind it is quite a way from Lake Macquarie.”
