However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. Eventually left a day early and switched to another hotel.”

“We loved our stay at the Pontchartrain Hotel. The friendly staff really made our experience, but the rooms are comfortable and clean, with large bathrooms. We also loved the rooftop bar and the food was great. Wish we had more time to use the streetcar to tour the area; the brief time we rode it, it was a fun way to see the area.”

“The AC leaked and soaked my dirty clothes that were on the floor under the return air vent. They were nice enough to give me a plastic bag to carry my soaking wet clothes back to houston in, but that’s about It. I believe had I booked direct and not through hotels.com they would have been more accommodating. Otherwise it a beautiful hotel. I spent two nights and everyone was very friendly. ”

“Everything was awesome but only one thing the hot tub was not hot and the pool area was surrounded by unsupervised kids also there was a group smoking weed right outside the pool area the security was great at night but I wish someone would have stayed on top of the outside area in the daytime besides that everything was good the food the employees everyone was friendly and kind and the room was extremely clean. ”
