I had a very poor experience at this hotel. Although it mentions breakfast is included, it only consists of cereal and pancakes, which I don’t consider a proper breakfast. Additionally, the washroom was broken and not properly maintained, with a strong smell of marijuana, making it very unpleasant. The overall area was dirty and felt unsafe. The hotel is very cheap in quality and not recommended.

Property is a small hotel with lots of parking around the area. We had a mixup due to Expedia but the lady at the front desk was kind enough to keep looking for my reservation and finally found it. Upon opening the room, there was a strong smell of weed for a few minutes. In general, in the lobby area you could smell weed on people. The rooms are cozy with two nightstands, a couch and a study table. Bathroom had nice flow of hot and cold water. Breakfast options are coffee, orange juice, waffles, yogurt, coffee and fruits. Fruits did not seem fresh so we didn’t eat those both the mornings. Weekend breakfast hours are 7 AM - 10 PM and weekday hours are 6 AM - 9 PM. Try to go early in the morning so you don’t have to wait the queue for breakfast. Checkout was okay, front desk lady asked us to just leave the keycards on the front desk and done. If you are travelling on a super tight budget, this little hotel can be a good option.

I booked this property because it had an 8 for the rating, I don't know where those people stayed but it was NOT at this hotel. When I got there, I stood in line to check in for about 20 min because the front desk guy was away from the desk "dealing with a problem". Then he had issues checking me in, when he solved them he gave me my key and just wasn't polite at all. We got into our room and the toilet was stopped up. I tried to call the front desk but I couldn't get a hold of him so my daughter went down and after a long while, she came up with a plunger for US to fix the toilet. US! After i tried many times, i called the hotel, with my cell phone and got a hold of the front desk guy and asked for a different room. He said he would come up to fix the toilet. When he came up, he told me that I had to really push on the lever for it to flush and that i really had to pull hard for the shower to turn on. He was rude when he was telling me these things. Also the sink was draining very slow. Looking around the room, I saw that the wall paper was peeling off the walls. We were finally just going to go to bed when my daughter saw that the window was opened and unlocked. In the morning, we went to go eat breakfast which we were then informed it wasn't opened until 7am. Overall this was not a hotel worth an 8 rating! We were only in Detriot for 1 night and it was a dissapointment that we had such a bad experience in this hotel!
