“We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things.”

“Love the property. All kinds of birds. There was a running creek and a pond which allowed us to be serenaded by frogs at night. Everything was well kept up. Neighborhood felt safe at night. Found a little café in La Fortuna that specialized in chocolate, Absolutely delicious there.”

“Pablo was a very gracious and helpful host, which made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The spot is beautiful, with amazing views and plenty of wildlife. The kids all loved the swimming hole and hot tub, and it was fun to cook on an open fire. The cabin was comfortable for two families (total of 9 people), and was well equipped.”

“Our Green Treasure House stay was great! The grounds, the outdoor living space and the pool were beautiful. The house itself was pretty basic but the beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. There was no need to spend time in the house because the outdoor space was so inviting. We felt very secure as the property was fenced and gated. It did require a taxi or Uber to go anywhere. We loved the property and would highly recommend it.”

“The owners were lovely and gave us a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin which was ideal for us with 2 young children. It had a well equipt kitchen. We did have a few ants coming in but when we told the owner they came down to spray the cabin. Great having a pool at the property for unwinding after a busy day in nature. The town was a 5 minute drive and it was really easy and cheap to get taxis there. Would definitely recommend staying here.”

“ I’m very picky about cleanliness so I chose this cabin because I could see while blankets & towels in the pictures & they didn’t disappoint me! All was perfectly clean & organized The mattress & pillows were very comfortable. Someone said it was hard to locate the place but just following Waze or Google maps we made it to their parking with no problem. “This is an outstanding place to stay. Everything was very clean, and the place is as advertised. There are 2 rooms on the bottom floor (with their own bathrooms). This area was great to give our teens some of their "own" space. We had 2 families with us, and there was plenty of space / beds for everyone. “One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The house is rustic and a little rough around the edges but that is all accounted for in the price and clear in the listing. The village of Santa Elena is close by and great for dining and shopping. Just string the hammock up on the porch and relax.”

“The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —……

“Able to drive right to the property thanks to google maps. Incredible home with magnificent view of the volcano. AC worked well in all rooms. Bugs were an issue at night times but we kept off the outside lights to eliminate that problem”

“Overall we loved staying here. There was just enough room for our group of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids aged 4-17). The views of the lake and the volcano are absolutely breathtaking, and the house is situated on a beautiful property surrounded by jungle, so we saw lots of birds right off the porch. The pool and hot tub were amazing, and entertained the kids for hours, all with a spectacular backdrop. The house and grounds were in good shape, clean, and well cared for. A couple things in the house……

“On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in……
