“If you do not like rustic or nature, this is not the place for you. Other than they need to spray for spiders/bugs, the place was exactly what was expected. It’s nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable and the layout worked for us. I read another review where the porch was dusty/dirty from not being used and it was the same. The cushions for the chairs were in a tub and we just didn’t mess with getting them out and possibly cleaning. So the screened porch, that was a selling point, wasn’t……

“This is a cute property and has been made to feel like home. 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms 2 pull out couches-we did not use, a washer and dryer and a fully functioning kitchen,-no dishwasher-unless you count yourself as one. We loved our stay. Our Athens Alabama experience was amazing. This property is right on the shore of the Elk River. On the balcony at night you can hear the coyotes scream and in the early hours of the morning you can hear the turkey's gooble. Very beautiful and very cool. We……

“The house was as advertised. The living area was very spacious and was great for my two boys. My only complaint was that the driveway wasn't fit for a boat b/c of the steepness. We had to use 4 wheel drive to pull the boat up the gravel driveway.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this home. We had several hiccups in our trip and the host was so great helping us! The house was clean, very nicely decorated. Awesome location on the water. I will say if you are bringing a boat, talk with the owner about bringing it down the drive. It's down a hill with a circle drive in front of the house and pea like gravel. Our big boat on trailer was not easy to get out but we made it happen. There are kayaks to use. 2 big and a youth. They went above and beyond……
