“Arrived at 11.30pm. Room on ground floor was huge and warm with 2 very comfortable beds. Made a brew and went to bed. Bathroom tiny but not an issue. Staff seemed friendly but didn't really see anyone. Paid extra as we arrived after 10pm.”

“Had a lovely one night stay. The surroundings were lovely and lodge was clean with plenty of facilities. Lovely decor and was great sitting outside.”

“I stayed overnight at CrossBasket Castle with my boyfriend as he received a generous voucher for the Michel Roux Jr tasting menu. The hotel and staff are absolutely brilliant and extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The food is exquisite and it’s possibly one of the finest cheese boards we have ever had. Look forward to retuning one day.”

“Cheery girls on reception desk. Room lock didn't work well....had to place key perfect to lock and unlock especially on the inside. Room 207 in other building. Everything else good ... breakfast buffet plentiful. Good for the price. ”

“The hotel has a very beautiful location, the staff is very polite and welcoming, especially on the reception. It’s ideal for a short stay, as well for a bigger group of people. We stayed here second time and are happy with the service.”

“What a pleasant surprise as it was not what I expected. Check in across the road at an enticing Indian Restaurant - able to safely park car in the Restaurant Car Park - room was very clean, comfortable bed, great shower, larger than usual TV. Room looked out on a busy dual carriageway but noise limited by glazed window and noise from pub downstairs was bearable and ended at closing time. Pricing was incredible. Will definitely be back.”
