“Wow! The photos don't do the place justice, its amazing! The communication and access are easy, on arrival a lady showed me the place, there's a set of 4 or 5 together which are seperate from the tourers etc. Theres nothing you don't need inside, shower, toilet, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster etc and all top branded quality stuff. The units are very new and modern and have been decorated to the highest standard. The views are to die for and its a few minutes drive into Forfar. Cant wait to use……

“Buckhood cottage had everything needed, clean and functional. The kitchen was a good size with the best view to look at while washing up. Beds were comfy and slept very well. Only issue was the shower, very low pressure and runs scorching hot and freezin cold. Overall a very good stay. Xxx”

The welcome basket was very generous and the provisions such as hand soap luxurious. The cottage contained everything that one could want and more. “The property was perfect for a base close to family that we were visiting. It was very warm and comfortable. The only comment that we would have was that the fixtures and fittings were a bit tired, they did work just fine though. All in all a very nice place to return to after a busy day.”

“Well equipped home, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Ideal for what we wanted (2 couples and elderly lady). Excellent location. The home was comfortable and in the most part clean (a previous guest clearly had dogs and the windows were full of nose marks), bits of mould in the bathrooms. Could have done with a grab rail in the downstairs bathroom just to make it a bit more disabled friendly. Lovely and warm, excellent views out to sea and the village of Johnshaven, just a short walk along the coast was……

“Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+”

Elaine is a sweetie and Aiden too and the kitchen staff were also and gave us ideas local places to see. ”

“Banchory Lodge was beautiful, the rooms were large and there was no noise from adjoining rooms. The setting was peaceful and in the morning all you can hear is the river Dee. The food was amazing and plentiful. ”
