“Friendly staff, well-equipped room with kitchen equipment and shampoo and conditioner provided. Stable wifi. The Fran Josef glacier hot pools is around a 3 minutes walk with lots of restaurants nearby. The bathroom heating lamp is great, and makes a big difference on a cold day. It's also nice that the reception has DVDs to borrow that you can watch in your room.”

“As my wife injured her knee two days before arriving the Punga Grove, I asked the receptionist whether it was possible to re-assign a ground floor room for us. it was a negative reply at first. However, I believed the manager intervened and arranged a ground floor room for our two nights stay. ”

“This hotel is good value for money if you want to stay near Franz Josef Glacier.”

“We lived in a room with shared bathroom but as it was near the entrance and kitchen and many people can use the toilet, it was very dirty (there was pee on floor). Our room is dirty too and the carpet had bad smell. We could not sleep well because cars were parked outside our room and false fire alarm went off at mid night. Good location, just 5-10 mins walk to shops. Free and nice breakfast. ”

“Fantastic location, great accomodations and great atmosphere”

“The bedrooms had good beds, nicely made up - but there were no storage spaces/cupboards. The lounge/dining/kitchen area felt cramped & uncomfortable. The hot water in the kitchen did not work, but we were expected to do our own dishes, otherwise we would have been charged $25 extra. Parking & getting out of the property was difficult due the large bolders framing the drive rather tightly. We would not stay there again. Also: Considering the above, the place is definitely not worth its nightly……

“住的是雙人房房型，所以安排在另一棟。去過背包客棧那邊看過一下，那邊感覺設施比較舊一點。 住宿提供的wifi穩，熱水水壓都很穩。 地段也不錯，在yha的對面，坐公共交通很方便。去餐廳，超市走路都是數分鐘而已。 早餐跟一般背包客棧，都是提供簡單的麵包配果醬，玉米片牛奶這樣。 綜觀是比一般的背包客棧好，浴室廁所都很乾淨。 唯一美中不足是hot pool in maintenance ，沒有機會用到hot pool。”
