Hosts James and Lisa were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and just a joy to chat with. This was such a peaceful country setting, with such a beautiful area to explore surrounding it. “A night in a tent in a garden for £140 is a bit expensive specially for the quality of it. Floor uneven and cracked, and smelt a bit dump. Bathroom (in main house) is a bad design and water goes everywhere. We wanted to ask the owner questions, while they were in their private room, and as soon as we tried to get their attention, they went quiet and ignored us. They must have been able to hear me. I found it rude.”

“Convenient and easy to get to. Clean and spacious room. We stayed in 11 which was so close to the car park and only had a few steps. Comfortable room, hot showers, nice big bed, delicious breakfast - try the whiskey porridge! We ate all our lunches and diners at The Auld Smiddy Inn and wish we couldn’t stayed longer!”

“Tina and Fiona do a wonderful job of serving guests at Fernbank House with lovely guest rooms and a homemade breakfast fit for kings and queens. Aberfeldy is a beautiful village with lots of things to see and Tina answers any questions you may have. She offers private yoga lessons too! Highly recommend this place.”

“Ardvane B&B is an excellent, affordable guest house and a great value. Just 3 blocks form Atholl street, Pitlochry’s main road, there is no road traffic noise and the view of the village rooftops and distant mountains from the breakfast room is beautiful. The service of manager Cor exceeds even his wonderful cooked breakfasts. Coffee, juices, and snacks are available all day. Everything is clean and up to date. We stayed 12 days and recommend Ardvane without reservation!”

“Cottage is amazing and Annie was so accommodating! The arrival to an overwhelming basket was such a pleasant surprise! The cottage is very rural so plan accordingly. We enjoyed some relaxing home cooked meals and a great visit to the butcher for supplies. Definitely a place to go”
