"Nice hotel with friendly staff. Easy check in. Rooms Ok comfy bed. Nice bar and lounge area. Beautiful gardens. Breakfast was ample. Strange door handles on room, instead of being half way up the door they're about 2 foot from the floor. Ok for small people."

"The castle is very unique! The lift was broken when I was there so it was a long way up the stairs but such a great room! Loved the reading nook in the torrent!"

"This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. "

"We stayed in one of the lodges which was superb. Clean, with quality furnishings, comfortable beds, and a two minute stroll to the amenities. Beautiful, well kept grounds and pleasant, helpful staff made this a fantastic stay. Although we only stayed for the one night, we were so impressed we are now intending to book one of the lodges for several nights next time. I should also mention that the surrounding countryside is stunning and there is plenty to do and see for all ages."
