I can imagine the stairs to the loft might be an issue for some people but we didn’t have any problems with it. The terrain of the path to the shared dock was a bit rough especially if you have your hands full but pretty much what one should expect in the Adirondacks. “We were utterly charmed and pleased with our stay at the Sacandaga Lake House, and loved every minute we were there. We skied at Lapland Nordic Ski Center every day, a 30 minute easy drive north up Rt. 30, and looked forward to our return to the house to enjoy the amazing hot tub and great fireplace. Super comfy beds, very comfortable open-design living area, well-equipped kitchen, the divine hot tub on the expansive deck, that also had great BBQ grills, which we also were delighted to be able……

“House is in a nice location. The pictures were photoshopped on the listing to make the wood appear to be a more modern wood tone than it actually is. Not a huge deal but definitely something I noticed upon arrival. The bath towels provided by the house were bleach stained. No AC in bedrooms. Plant overgrowth on back deck. Ice maker doesnt work in freezer. Minor issues that could be addressed to provide a nicer experience for guests. Overall the house was not bad and we had a nice stay, but not 5……

“Cabin is rustic, steep steps to loft which contains the beds and raw wood roofing. (cannot stand in the loft). Also, water from faucets is for showering and doing dishes only, you must use the dispenser water for drinking and cooking. Had a problem with septic and draining just before leaving but owner came to fix issue when notified. Lastly, the cabin is up the hill (owners cabin at bottom of hill at lakeside), but you have access to the lake, canoes, kayaks, etc.”
