Nice and clean property though not very fancy. Great staff and the breakfast bar is open from 7:00am to 9:00pm with many choices.

Good hotel for a great price point and very conveniently located to Grand Marais and trails around Lake Superior. The room was a bit dated and in need of minor repair in some areas but clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room definitely got the job done for a long weekend stay in Grand Marais, especially since we spent most of our trip exploring the parks and trails around the area. Would recommend if you’re looking for budget-friendly way to explore the North Shore.

Very simple space, you get what you pay for. I was happy to have a clean bed and a roof over my head for $60 a night. You can't get anything for double the price around here so in that sense it's a 5/5 in my opinion.

Hall were never vacuum in our two day stay.
Outside doors did not lock or shut
Bathroom was dirty floors
1st day no hot water
Carpets stains water-stains not wiped off tv stand from previous person k

Unseasonably chilly during our Memorial weekend visit and our room did not have heat. Front desk attendant, one of the friendliest we've ever encountered, moved us to a new room which had heat. Very kind of her. Will definitely stay here again.

The heat is only off during the day, when it is too warm for it. At night, the boilers are back on.
