Very cute & clean, nice walkable location to the restaurants/shops in the Heights neighborhood, minutes to downtown, and easy to pop out to the wineries and orchards. The beds are comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. We would stay here again!”

“Beautiful home - very solidly built in the craftsman style. Very walkable - Mike’s ice cream is a 6 min walk, many other places are close. Parking in the garage is great, but you can’t close the garage door from the outside. What people say about the stairs is true - there are 17 stairs to get to the main living area, and another 16 stairs to get to the bedrooms. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it was difficult for my elderly father. The one floor suite right next door was perfect for him……

“Just 10 blocks from historic Hood River, beautiful old buildings and very nice shops. Easy drive to the waterfalls or east to The Dalles area. The Mt Hood loop is a must see as well. The house is well appointed and comfortable, great decor. And, the view of course. Mt Adams and the rive are directly in front of you. Better than tv. Thank you Brian!”

“My co-worker and I greatly enjoyed the peacefulness of the house and the amazing view, especially from the deck. While not at our workshop, we spent most of our time out there on the deck, working on our project and enjoying the spectacular view of Mt. Adams. We loved the simple elegance of the interior and the open floor plan oriented towards the great view.”

“We enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy and we liked the location. However, it could have been a little cleaner. The back yard needs a lot of attention and there was quite a bit of dog poop that we had to clean up on arrival to the house.”

“Great getaway for two retired couples. Hood River is close to the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, locks, restaurants, Air/Auto museum (must see) and great hiking. The house had easy access, good parking, clean, and convenient to all we wanted to do. Great room and separate bedrooms were perfect for sleeping, gaming, sharing meals and relaxing. Good lighting. Clear checkin/out instructions. Microwave functioned but display was blank. Could use instructions for Google puck, TV and stereo. All worked,……

“Our stay was good, that being said. It’s listed as being secluded and private. It’s far from private and only secluded because of the location. The need to list that the hot tub is not private and it is not next to the house.. it’s across the muddy pine needle filed parking area and down a muddy trail. The hot tub is a great feature, but if your looking for seclusion and privacy.. this may not be the place for you. The house has a spa bathtub, that would be great if the neighbors construction……

“Once again we enjoyed staying here at Papa Bears cabin. It’s such a cute and cozy cabin. Even though it was chilly when we arrived, once we got the fire going in the fireplace, it got toasty warm. It seems like there was some updating to the kitchen since the last time we were there, and it was very nice to cook in. Even though it was chilly and rainy outside, I still loved listening to the river and birds in the morning, while having my coffee. The beds were comfy, we all slept very well. Even……

“The house had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The furnishings, the beds and bedding, the kitchen supplies - all were great. We had one sunny day when we enjoyed the magnificent view from the deck. When the rains came on day two, the view was different, but still beautiful. The location is wonderful, and we were able to easily explore Hood River, White Salmon, and the surrounding areas. Would definitely rent here again.”
