"The hotel is new and very typical. We had a wilderness room which was spacious, comfortable, clean and warm. However the bathroom, although new, seemed basic. I would appreciate a screen between shower and toilet, lack of screen means the toilet gets wet. The cleaning of the room is every other day. However we stayed three nights and the room was never made. I think to ask 25 euros for a WhatsApp message for the aurora alert is ridiculous, it should be complimentary. Food choice is reasonable...

"We stayed here overnight before a flight home. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, restaurant and bar were fabulous! Very walkable to shops and other restaurants. Only not great thing was we had to pull/carry our luggage in the snow across two streets to our building. In case this might be an issue for you just be aware when booking. "

"We stayed at Giellajohka for 6 days and wished we had longer. It was magic. The river cabins are cozy, warm and have a substantial kitchen. We enjoyed the in cabin sauna and the beautiful floor to ceiling window meant we enjoyed the aurora from our bed while having a cup of tea early in the morning. "We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Korpikartano. The room and bathrooms were both pretty small but you have to take into account the building’s history as it used to be a boarding school. One thing I will say is the activities and meals were pretty over priced m. 29 Euro per person for dinner each night was a bit ridiculous considering what it was.
