“I very much enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was clean, comfortable & close to the Shawnee National Forest & the Wine Trail. The bed & furniture were comfortable. The kitchenette allowed me to have all meals in, as it has a half-refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffeemaker, plates, glasses & mugs. “Great, quaint cabin, that is well maintained and tastefully appointed. Setting on the covered porch looking out over the trees and pasture made me feel like I was 1000 miles from anywhere. The hobby farm next door was really cool. There were all kinds of animals on the property, many roaming free. I even saw a skulk of foxes as I pulled into the property. A quick 8 minute drive and you were in Carbondale. Very cool.”

“I really enjoyed my stay. I came to spend some time with my daughter who goes to SIU. It was nice, quiet, and had the great charm. It is a cabin so it is rustic but that was the charm of the cabin. The bed was great, we were able to cook and relax like the comforts of home. The wifi had an issue and needed to be reset and the host was very prompt on fixing the issue. He was available! I will definitely stay here again when I visit my daughter!”

I stayed here with my mom, aunt, and my 1.5 year old daughter and we had the best time! The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. “In Marion for a family wedding. Perfect place for all of us (adult children and teenage grandchildren and pre-teen great grandchildren). Dramatic great room overlooking 5th tee. Got to review the golfers as an added benefit. Looks like a good spot for a getaway golf weekend.”
