“We booked the suite since we were a group of 5. The suite had 3 rooms so we would have been quite comfortable but due to change of plans it was just us 3. The hosts were warm and welcoming when they greeted us. Breakfast was lovely each morning, and they provided helpful suggestions for sightseeing. “We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again.”

“Our stay at the Interlaken Inn was wonderful! Owner Casey and staff member Heather could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests and comfort. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we could want. Our room was beautiful and breakfast in the morning was much better than your typical continental offerings! We were even given a handwritten thank you note when we checked out! If you are in Lake Placid you should chose to stay at the Interlaken Inn! You won't……

“Such a wonderful place. So very clean and cozy. Wonderful people. Unfortunately the bed was far too soft for our liking. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!”

“We were looking for a B&B in the country with wonderful views, good breakfast and close to Whiteface Mountain. We certainly found that in Bark Eater Inn! Each morning we had a wonderful farm to table breakfast prepared by our friendly hosts, Meghan and Wendy, while enjoying wonderful views from any window. “This could not have been a more wonderful stay. The manor house is beautiful as are the grounds. The deck overlooks the lake with a lovely path that leads to a dock. Breakfast on the deck was simply joyful. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was home cooked with fresh and local ingredients. Bring a bottle of wine with you for an evening taking in the fresh air and lake views. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything their guests will need. This is a must……

“We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun! ”

“We visited in early April to see the solar eclipse. The house was cozy, cute and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, the views of the lake are lovely, and the eclipse was spectacular. The property is clearly optimal for summer use, and in early spring we couldn't take advantage of all of its amenities and advantages. Would love to come back sometime in warmer weather. A couple of things to be aware of: It's a long and steep set of stairs from the parking area to the house --……

“We had a wonderful experience at this property. The beach and dock were everything our little family could have asked for- and all of the water toys were perfection. We had kayaks, paddleboards, paddle boats and canoes at our disposal. Our host took us out on his boat in the afternoon and was a wealth of information. He was available at all times and improved our stay immensely. I suggest bringing water shoes as the beach is all rocks and definitely hurts the feet. Fires in the evening were……
