“My whole family loves this hotel! It is beautiful and clean and in a perfect location. Very walkable to the harbor in Newport. The food is delicious and fresh, the bar is great, and even the mini bar in the rooms is a cut above. They have little stations on all of the floors (except the 2nd) where you can get cold water, sparkling water, ice, ice cream. Just another lovely touch at this hotel. We have stayed here several times, and have loved it each time. The rooms with a harbor view are a……

“I love staying at the Scarborough Motel- It is our favorite motel and I will always stay there. I was disappointed that we were charged an early "check in fee" when we were the only guests there and our room was ready for us. ”

“Very well situated, right in the old part of Newtown. Quiet neighborhood and close to the busier streets. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kindly let us stay past the check out hour. We didn’t get a room in the house we had reserved (not in Melville but in an adjacent house) and the room we got didn’t look like the pictures posted on line. It was a little poky but since we only wanted to use it to sleep in, it didn’t bother us much. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Serena was friendly, informative, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to! Room 11 is awesome! It has its own private outside balcony with tables! The ladies in the kitchen cooked up unique, amazing breakfasts every day! Sooo delicious! Our 2-bedroom suite was clean, comfortable, and having a kichenette was a bonus! The location of the Inn was so convenient and within walking distance to many things we wanted to do! I highly recommend the Outlook Inn!”

“Interesting history to the Jailhouse Inn. I wish they would have more historical decoration. We were in room 8 on the main floor. The stairs were above us so it was noisy when people walked up and down the stairs. Otherwise street noise was tolerable. Nice breakfast with cold cuts, cheese and fresh berries. No coffee maker in the room, but coffee was always available in the breakfast room. Small in room fridge located in the closet. They have parking lot located to the left of the Inn.”

“The hotel is in the midst of renovations. The outside is in need of repair, but the rooms and common areas are clean and updated. The deck could use some paint, etc., but the view is fabulous and the seating is comfortable. The pool was clean - hot tub was not working. Front desk staff was courteous and pleasant. Housekeeping staff was also very pleasant. Maintenance staff was hard at work cleaning and sprucing the property up. Honestly, we went expecting the worst based on so many negative……

“Adorable inn located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with a nice view overlooking the lake from the back porch behind the rooms. We stayed in a very clean and cozy updated room. Snacks and coffee are readily available throughout the day. The staff was warm and welcoming. Would definitely return if in the area again. ”
