“Really nice hotel. Full of wedding parties when we stayed but staff still available and attentive for non-wedding guests. Pool was busy and full of children on Saturday morning, so maybe consider other times. Room was clean and spacious. Loved the Arran toiletries. Breakfast was efficient and plentiful- need to book your slot in advance though. Would definitely stay again but not in wedding season as guest noise was a bit much.”

“Overnight stay as we were attending a wedding nearby. Hotel allowed us to leave our luggage & check in so we were able to go straight to our room when we came back late from wedding. Room was lovely!! Comfy bed. Big bath & separate shower. Tea tray fully stocked. Enjoyed our breakfast which was cooked to order & very tasty. Friendly staff. Easy check out. Will definitely return & look forward to using the spa facilities next time. ”

“Nice 2 day birthday break for my partner, hotel was spotlessly clean, rooms were well equipped, although a smart tv would have gave it 5 stars instead of 4, bed was exceptionally comfortable & massive, food was great but slightly overpriced we thought, the SPA suite wasn't the best but relaxing, SPA treatments were way overpriced for what was on offer, but we enjoyed our stay ”

“The Ashtree House Hotel was a piece of history located in the middle of busy Glasgow. Maureen and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. I loved the hotel and its historical feel. The cherry on top were the whiskey bar and the restaurant. We had a homecooked meal, that was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay.”

“Lovely hotel, looked recently refurbished and very well situated on the edge of Largs, overlooking the beach, Cumbrae and the highlands and islands in the distance. Staff were all very helpful, breakfast had a good variety of items - both hot and cold, there is a safe, private car park and the bedroom and bathroom were both spotless and comfortable. Regular bus services made for easy travelling up the west coast for the ferry services at Wemyss Bay for Bute and Gourock for Dunoon if you wanted……
