“First of all , Tom is a lovely host friendly and had suggestions for dining and taxi service . Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for moving around . Breakfast was very hospitable and yummy food provided with company at one table with the other B&B persons. My only issue was that four rooms shared a bathroom on the second storey so maybe a suggestion would be to have potentially scheduled shower times or cleaning supplies to share between persons visiting . Thanks ”

“Was a nice stop over on our road trip. This little bed and breakfast is operated with love by the owner. Rooms were clean and the communication was good. Breakfast was a typical British breakfast spread (eggs, bacon, beans, etc), though made with much more care than you can get in bigger hotels… good enough that we all finished it which we couldn’t do elsewhere!”

“The Shawlee Cottage is a convenient place to stay when you have a car as it is a short drive to Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The owners Sandy and Cathy make an effort to have a conversation with you around the breakfast table, and they sure do have stories to share. They make your stay very welcoming. ”

“This was an extraordinary property, a true find. James and his family made our stay a pleasure. The room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast outstanding. James was very easy to talk with, with a great sense of humor and very helpful in suggesting local attractions. The house and yard were gorgeous. We felt pampered. I wished I'd been able to stay longer. ”

“An amazing old but well maintained house, newly renovated with all the modern comfort in the middle of a huge park with meadows and old trees. Our room was very large and the beds really comfortable. The bath was in relation to the room a bit smaller with an even smaller sink anyway no reason to complain. A very good breakfast with extra wishes fulfilled where possible. There are a lot of parking lots just in front of the house. It was a very quiet place. There were lovely horses on the……

“Had a very pleasant stay at Garvally House. Naomi and her husband are excellent host and you get spoiled with Naomi's fantastic breakfast spread. Very clean and the rooms are spacious. I left behind some shirts and they were quick to courier them to me, couldn't ask for a better service.”

“We had the most incredible stay at The Queen's View for so many reasons. On the way to the B&B, there was an accident in the middle of Linlithgow cutting off all traffic through the town and I had no idea how to get through to the B&B. Without needing to call, Catriona messaged us with directions helping us get around the traffic and saved an extended argument in the car! On arrival, we were greeted by Catriona and shown to our room (Superior Double Room w/ garden view), which was stunning and……

“Unterkunft sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Im ganzen Haus liegt alter staubiger Teppichboden aus. Zimmer sehr altbacken. Leider war der Wasserkocher so alt und/oder nicht richtig gereinigt, dass sich das Material am Boden gelöst hat und Schimmel darin war auch nicht auszuschließen. Eigentümerin hatte mich herfahren und parken sehen, kam aus ihrem Cottage heraus und lief an mir vorbei ohne zu warten oder grüßen. Sie wusste genau, dass ich ein Gast des Hauses bin. Etwas sonderbar.”
