“I saw a lot of negative reviews and was pleasantly surprised at how erroneous they were. Everything was clean and orderly. The desk clerk was polite, albeit a little deficient in English and clearly overworked. The cleaning staff was top-notch. The bed was clean and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The only problem I noticed was a loose bathroom sink fixture. I reached underneath and tightened the bolt by hand. Problem solved. I have been to many interstate-adjacent hotels. This one rates……

“The Point Au Roche Lodge was everything that it promised and more. The rooms were beautiful and it was very appreciated that it was dog-friendly. It was very dog-friendly, with borders between outside porches for privacy and a specific potty area clearly identified. The price for the off-season was incredibly reasonable. One of the beds in our room was broken, but I doubt the property had been made aware of it, as it had been scrabbled back together to look like it was fine, until we laid on……

“The hotel is tastefully decorated, the staff is very accommodating and congenial, and the rooms are comfortable. The only negative is the lack of daily housekeeping; you have to ask the front desk to empty the trash, etc. We stayed for 1 week and it seems the rooms are only cleaned and refreshed when the room is vacated.”

“These cottages are on a golf course with lake views. You have to drive a golf cart from the club house to your cottage. Be prepared for weather or darkness as golf carts do not have headlights! Great cottages!”

“It was disappointing, I will never stay with them again! Room wasn’t vacuumed or dusted, bathroom had pupil hairs on toilet seat, floor and walls in bathroom were disgusting. Pubic hairs on the bed sheet! Wrappers under bed! Hallway floors were not vacuumed and the door to go into the place has not been cleaned in awhile! Pool was out dated and freezing it was like doing the polar plunge in January. I would not recommend this place and the continental breakfast was not great so we when to……

“The place is beautiful and cozy. Unfortunately we had rainy weather but definitely will stay here again. Had use of the hot tub. Wasnt able to gwt out on the lake...definitely next tome! Jon and Sergio and kids are wonderful hosts!”
