“Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. ”

“Hotel is well maintained, quiet and clean. Rooms are spacious with all the modern amenities. Bathroom is quite spacious too and has walk-in shower. The Gym has enough equipments to go around. Food and Breakfast buffet has a good spread but if I remember puttu/kadala & appam/curry were missing. Maybe those items are available on request. There's building and road works around the hotel. One of the roads leading to the hotel was not in a roadworthy state. Felt some staff at the reception to be……

“The front desk and staff were excellent. The room did not have fresh linen when we checked it, and the bedding had stains and was not fresh. The front desk was courteous and changed the bedding with fresh linen on our request. The restaurant is nice, the location is convenient, and overall the property and staff are very good. ”

“This was our first location in India and a perfect start to our vacation. We received a very warm welcome. The Hotel is near a lot of sightseeing features and the area around gives a good view in Indian live with not that much people in the beginning. But we arrived at the Beginning of the off season in Mai. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are clean and quiet. There is a rooftop pool and a in house Restaurant. “The Ginger House Museum Having stayed there a full week, my wife and I are impressed by the richness of its physical environment and the attentiveness and kindness of its staff. The hotel museum, in the 1500’s, a warehouse for ginger has been tranformed. It is full of wonderful Indian craft from different periods, many valuable: a “snake”boat more than 100 feet long, elephants, strange horselike creatures and many more. “The hotel is situated in a busy area close to the shops (a big mall 5 min walk away) bars and restaurants. We booked this hotel because the pictures looked great and it had good reviews, however, we would not say that this was a 4 star hotel. We stayed in other 4 star hotels around India and they were magnificent, this hotel wasn’t. The facilities were dated, it was a little messy, it just didn’t feel as a 4 star establishment.
