Your booking is not completely be managed by the receptionist. Mine was handled by the security guard who's a foreigner. Receptionists are not fully functional.

BE AWARE , Scammer! you may not be able to check in to this place. The owner did not turn up to open the room for us. We waited a few hours , no communication ,refused our calls and Expedia calls. Spent over £100 phone bill trying to sort out with Expedia but failed to solve the problem. Had to find a new hotel (waited from 8pm-11pm) and still waiting for refund. People at the reception told us this happened a lot with this owner when someone else offers more money for his room he will cancel yours booking and would not turn up! DON’T BOOK IT.

Very bad experience and service from hotel.com
Kindly make a refund on this booking, when I reach the place, i was told that the place was fully booked and no more room left.
I contacted hotel.com through IDD call, I have to rebook a new place by myself, even after a 2 hour call.

We paid for a Deluxe 2 Bedroom Suite. When we arrived, they gave us a room with 1 bed for 3 adults. They, begrudgingly, brought a 2nd bed for a room smaller than we were supposed to be in and told us that all their other rooms were sold out for the night. We were in Malaysia and the person that brought us to the room spoke zero Malay and barely could speak English.
They demanded that we paid a deposit of about $40 USD (or 150 Ringgit). We tried explaining to him that we would be leaving for the airport at 2:30 AM and that we would need to be able to get our cash deposit back. He did not understand at first (language barrier) and then seemed to understand. He gave me his bosses number and told us to call him. I had 2 phone numbers and neither worked. In the end, I had 5 different people's numbers and nobody would answer. At 12:55 AM, I got a call saying that someone had the money and was bringing it. Nothing. At 2 AM, I went to the person's room and he told me that he was "about to call" and told me the money was at the front desk. That was a lie. I had to get security involved and security made this person go to the ATM to get me my money.
I would take this property off of Orbitz, as I am sure that they have taken other people's deposit's before. Communication was horrendous with this property.

when we arrived the room was not ready. He told us to wait and we had no news. I asked to leave things and go downtown ... they kept our things in a very dirty apartment. the enigma received us almost naked. we went downtown and when we got back around nine o'clock at night. They made us wait another hour.
Upon giving us our room it was dirty and untidy, the bed used, and no towels. conclusion we lost all day and we spent a great dislike...

We were 4 adults and two kids and had booked two large rooms but on our arrival we were given one bedroom with double bed and there was once single bed with rotten mattress with no bedsheet. The staff didn’t have any clue of our early checkin. Horrible experience!!! Don’t recommend at all as there is no organisation and they don’t keep track of bookings.
