We drove up to Rio Celeste from Manuel Antonio, and although it was a long drive, guanacaste-La fortuna was everyone’s favorite area of Costa Rica of our entire trip. "We had four couples stay in the property and completely enjoyed it. The pool was the highlight but its location close to central La Fortuna was great for dining and getting groceries. Property management was best I have experienced. Excellent help with transportation and excursions. I strongly recommend using them."

"The photos do not do the house justice. On arrival the house was clean and had all of the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. Each room had an individual bathroom with shower that had good pressure. The view of the arenal volcano was breath taking and the pool was a perfect way to stay cool down in the heat. Disclaimer the pool structure is made of a cement type of material and we did get some scrapes, but nothing too bad. Also, there is no jacuzzi it is simply a “water feature”. In...

"We had a lovely stay in this house just outside La Fortuna. We had delicious meals and highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the house. It was amazing to see Flash the sloth hanging out in the garden. The house has a great location near activities but gives an authentic feel. Pura vida!"

"Great place for large group. Isabelle is the housekeeper and so super nice. We had her join our group for dinner one night. The house is layed out great. We also seen a lot of wildlife on the property, birds iguanas, lizards, etc. Main town is about 20 minutes away, very touristy, but lots of nice cafes and places to eat. "My girlfriends and I were very impressed by our stay here. It was easy to get to and we felt extremely safe (especially because the property is almost hidden in plain sight as it’s enclosed by palm trees). "We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings.
