“My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, 20 mins or less to Saranac, about 30 or so mins to Lake Placid mirror lake. The house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds were comfortable, heating was more than adequate. The yard and lake access was fun. Snow was pretty much untouched and the kids loved sledding, playing with their trucks, walking on the frozen lake and trying to make their best snow angels. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.”

“We loved our stay in Lake Placid to see the Total Solar Eclipse! We had been looking forward to the trip for a year, and were very happy with this home - it was very comfortable for our family that included an infant and a toddler, as well as 8 adults. There was plenty of room for us to all have the space we needed. We especially loved the wood stove in the living room, and the backyard was great to play in the snow. It was just a short walk to town, so close a 3-year old could walk herself……

“This home is in the midst of renovations. This means a new fridge and also construction materials around the property (no fenced in yard for pets, plus empty bottles/gum wads, etc around construction area). The house is clean and new on the interior but does not look like the pictures in many way. We came here with a mobility impaired family member, the new high top kitchen table was a disaster. “We had a very nice amd relaxing time there. The house is very beutiful, 4 br was enough for all of us, rooms where clean. Kitchenware were very useful. The outdoor landscape was eye catching. Lake view was mesmerizing. If youre looking for a true relaxtion I'll definitely recommend it.”

“It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity.……

“My husband and I spent a weekend at Lake Placid. Our room was comfortable, and the location was very convenient, within walking distance to restaurants. We were also grateful that there was parking on-site, which made it easy for us to drive back-and-forth to trailheads in the area.”
