Not as steep of a walk to the water as many other rentals on the lake and not a ton of stairs either. It was chilly when we were there but the mini split and pellet stove kept us super cozy. "We had such a wonderful family vacation at the Climbing Vine Cottage. The host provided coloring supplies, toys, & books for our children. My husband & I enjoyed relaxing in front of the pellet stove. & to our surprise, we even experienced our first snow of the season during our stay. "The place was nicely remolded and looked like the photos. However, there was a terrible bug problem. You could not open the doors once it got dark out because hundreds of bugs would get in!! "We were the first guests of the season and our hosts were wonderful! The space is smallish and clean with a comfy bed and excellent a/c. It was just enough space for my husband and I. The apartment is right on the lake and has a fantastic view. Nothing is super close out there (as is the case with most of the Finger Lakes region), but there are some great restaurants in the nearby towns, beautiful state parks and tons of water activities. Highly recommend staying at Carmella and Rod's place!"
