“It was a nice little cottage with a great view. The property was clean and well appointed as described. The hosts clearly take pride in their property and are responsive and kind. If you are looking for a locale where you can quickly get to a town/shopping/dining, this is not the ideal place, but we enjoyed staying here and explored. Would definitely go back.”

“We stayed for a long weekend at this wonderful property and have nothing but great things to say about the cabin. It appears to have been recently constructed, so everything is exceptionally clean. The interior is thoughtfully designed with wonderful little touches. The kitchen is large and very functional. It is also perfectly stocked. We cook a lot when we travel, so this was quite important to us. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable (good beds and linens). The location suited us very……

“We had a large family gathering nearby and the Dam Cottage was perfect for family of 4 to stay. Hard to beat the location, on a small river flowing from Pleasant Lake. Highly recommend!”

“The home is charming, immaculate and amidst woods with no neighbors in eye or earshot. It is on a dirt road, so an awd vehicle is a good idea. A stream runs along the driveway. The Ottauquechee River is across the road. The bathroom is on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. The smoke detector goes off if you saute on the stove. I recommend learning how to turn off a wired in smoke detector. You should open the kitchen window when you saute, because most of the smoke detectors……

“The sound of the river instantly relaxes the mind. The smell of the pines harmonizes the senses. The peaceful quiet of nature calms the body and spirit. Spending time with Richard feels like family.”

“Location was awesome, house met the description and was comfortable. Stayed with dog and 3 kids. Doors (or walls?) were a little drafty in the winter, but heating seemed to be ok. Heated floors in bathrooms were really nice. Suggest more than 2 dishwasher tabs per renter. Basement is quite cold but we didn't need to use it for sleeping. Still, 5 stars, great property and would stay again.”

“On a very quiet small lake, but plenty of things to do. Kayaks, paddleboard, float pad, and hot tub were a big hit. Plenty of games and activities in the house too for rainy days. Greg was great at communicating everything about the house and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again!”

The location was perfect within easy reach of Woodstock and the house was beautifully decorated, warm comfortable and spacious. “My family really enjoyed this Lake House. The beautiful views of the lake were breathtaking. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals. The kitchen was functional and generally well equipped. The beds in the house were particularly comfortable. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck with perfect views of the lake. The location was great. Lots of wonderful hiking trials in close proximity. My only suggestion to the owners is to give the house a good deep cleaning. Nonetheless,……
