“Beautiful setting on the coastline. The twin room was spacious however with only a small window, it definitely needed a centre light/more lighting. Bathroom was a good size, however, access to the in-bath shower was awkward. Given there was a wedding on, the room was quiet and cosy. A full length mirror is a requirement in any hotel room. Beds very comfy.”

“The bishops gate is the place to stay in Derry. It is a beautiful hotel with highly skilled, friendly, and helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and rewarding. Literally, from the valet, to reception (KAYLI-sp?), everyone was professional, courteous, helpful, and just top-notch. The hotel is meticulous and inviting. It is a place you want to come home to every night After being out visiting Derry and seeing the sites. It is also centrally located within the city walls……

“Overall, hotel a bit tired. Room fine and goid walk in shower. Reception staff and some others, notably Patsy, very good. However, some younger waiting staff in bar and restaurant sorely in needvof training on the job and customer service. ”

“ The back of the building where it said was the Welcome Center. The center was not open, and we were told had not been open since Covid. The back door was left open and we saw RATS running under the tables into the corner. I slammed the door shut.”

“What a fantastic place! 10 Individual rooms, a large guest house vibe with a massive living room and kitchen and you can order breakfast in bed for £5.50 and it was delivered hot and on the dot! They run a clean ship here too! Check in was great with Vllin and all communication sound. They went above and beyond for me and I would give this a solid 10/10”
