“The house was filthy, and the bathroom was disgusting”

“Owner messaged and told me check in was at 5:00. I informed her that my confirmation showed 4:00. I checked in early because I came from MD and owner charged me $50 to check in 1 1/2 hrs early at 2:30. Upon entering the home and returning to get 2nd bag I was met by a Dominion Electric employee who first asked if I was the owner and I explained to him I was the renter for 4 days. He told me he was there to shut off the electric for non payment. He also advised that this was the second extension……

“We needed somewhere to stay while our dog had a major surgery at a veterinary specialist in the area. Do not like staying in hotels and like a more "homey" feel. This was exactly what we needed.”

“Perfect place for girls trip. Hit up local wineries and Uber back safely to this house. Beds were firm, but I found them comfy!! We honestly didn’t really utilize the kitchen, so can’t speak to how well stocked the kitchen was. The house was clean and plenty of space for all 9 of us!! Was very easy to access. Close to grocery and ABC store and a few restaurants. Would definitely stay here again for a girl’s trip!!”

“My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Airstream at Lake Glen Haven. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking over the firepit, hiking atound the lake and soaking in the beautiful views. The Airstream was very well stocked and we had everything we needed. The shower was also surprisingly nice! We were able to meet the owners Ashleigh and Mike and they even brought us some fresh eggs from their chicken coop😊 Their goldendoodle, Mabel was also the perfect host and came to check on us……

“We stayed 2 nights in the Tugboat and it was the perfect escape. The lake and trails were amazing scenery for a relaxing weekend, and the closeness to Louisa/Charlottesville made it easy to make short trips to break up the day.”

“The early check in on Wednesday was a treat 😊 We got in and immediately went out on our boat and made stops at our favorite places. If one thing could be said about the Community Boat Ramp is that it’s small and difficult to use and is in disrepair. Beyond that, the house was beautiful and the downstairs area was better than any expectations for a game room. Also, it was one of the cleanest houses we’ve been in at Lake Anna. Thanks for a wonderful couple of days.”

“The house was very cute & super clean. Loved having the fenced yard for my doggies. Wifi was not great & the front screen door sticks a little, so dogs can push through easily. I think it would be a great idea to have a guest signature book. I was going to get one & also leave pictures of my dogs....the great Dane pictures were too cute”

“Wife and I brought our labradoodle and infant son seeking some fresh air and relaxing fun, and the cabin at Lake Glen provided just that. Check in/out was simple, the place was tidy and well stocked with necessities, and we felt right at home. I’d certainty come back and maybe check out staying in the silo or riverboat. Thanks again!”

“We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The property was stunning and the horses were friendly. It’s a great place to stay with family (kids included). The chef’s kitchen is stocked with every kitchen cooking utensil you may need. The rooms are just as large as they look in the pictures, so there is plenty of space to spread out and unwind. The weather was a little chilly so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors nearly as much as we would have liked, but……

“The home was fabulous. It was very clean and met all of our expectations. We enjoyed fishing from the dock as well as some kayaking. There was a very minor issue with a kitchen appliance and they quickly sent someone out to resolve it. The views of the lake are great. We would definitely stay there again.”

“Keyless entry did not work when we got there. I used the code I received. But found 3 doors unlocked. Next afternoon it was fixed. Had to borrow a metal spatula from a family members house to cook burgers on the grill.”

“Our stay was absolutely amazing! Throughly enjoyed from beginning to end. The view of lake was breathtaking. The home was emasculate and very welcoming. The only negative was the grill , which obviously hadn’t been cleaned for the season. Even still the overall experience was excellent. Thank you.”

The home overall was one of the nicest we have rented in our time of renting homes. Howard was a great host and made sure communication lines were open during our stay.”
