“This was a very economical place to stay centered beside the entrance to Yellowstone. Owner was nice and stayed behind us in his own cabin. Cooke City in general wasn’t as welcoming as we had expected other than the fly shop that was closing down for the season while we were there. Gas stations, restaurants, and other amenities were super expensive so bring what you can or stop before you get there to buy what you need. Overall we had a great time!”

“A great location to access the Beartooth Mountains and surrounding Shoshone National Forest. Loved the yurt, very cozy and comfortable. A great place to return to each day after a beautiful hike to the high mountain lakes on the Beartooth Plateau. Nan and Brian were very friendly and super helpful with information about the area. I highly recommend staying here.”

“My daughter & I enjoyed our stay and would rent there again. The only negative I have, If you can call it that, is they need another outdoor garbage can, the one they had filled up fast.”

“Beautiful View and Quite atmosphere. Friendly Staff! I wish we would have known that one door leads to 2 rooms per cabin. I rented 2 rooms but ended up in different cabins as my kids. My kids shared a cabin with another couple, but my kids said they and their dogs were nice and only barked a little.”

“The property was very remote, i thought there would be cell phone service at the property. The owners did provide a phone which allowed us to communicated with family members. The cabin was clean with adequate supplies of basic food to get one by until you could purchase your own products. Anyone renting should be aware that food needs to be brought to the cabin and as the owners state, there is nothing close and some grocery stores are closed for the season. “The cabin was nice. It has a kitchenette, so preparing meals was convenient. Cooke City is a very small town, with no cell service, and limited eateries and supplies. So we brought all of our food, including meals that we premade, and just heated up. We came to watch the wildlife in the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park, and Cooke City is minutes away from the East end of the park. Which is a big plus. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, it was wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay……

“It was adequate for our purpose. Very close to the NE entrance to Yellowstone. My only suggestions is a better place to put garbage after it’s full. Leaving it outside attracted some of the community wandering dogs. Also seating for the patio such as fold up chairs would have been nice. The interior is ok but could use some updating. Yet, in our case we were not there much of the time so what is there was sufficient.”

“The chalet was everything we were looking for and then some. Kitchen was fully kitted out with everything we needed, plenty of space for our whole crew to spread out, great location just off Main Street and next to the gas stations and crawling distance from the Miner is pretty awesome. Brad was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, we will most definitely be returning next year for our 7th annual!!”
