“The cabin was perfect for my spouse, 17 yo daughter and dog. I loved reading next to the river and having space for my dog to play. The garage door wall of the kitchen opened up the space more and was great having all the fresh air. Kitchen was just right, the bedrooms and beds comfy too! We came up for a wedding and to detress without the fuss and this was a perfect spot. Town was a couple minutes away. Thank you for sharing your space with us!”

“My husband and I, and my mother, spent five days in Durango. The Between the Waters home was a perfect fit for us. The river just steps from the back deck made for soothing time to just sit and enjoy, both the river and the cool weather. The home itself had plenty of room for the three of us.”

“Property was very close to Delores with a remote wilderness feel. Saw lots of deer and horses. Only about 20 min. to Mesa Verde National Park. The only drawback was the sulfur smell from the hot water. We had a great stay.”

“This was our 2nd stay and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. No pretentions, just what we expected for a cottage on the reservoir in the country. We had everything we needed to make lovely meals. The cottage is close to several hiking areas and ruins. Super host and hostess that are available when needed.”

“Kyle was kind, responsive and accommodating throughout booking and during our stay. His place was perfect for our family of 14. One daughter stated it was by far the best VRBO she had been in…clean and lovely with excellent decor, comfy beds, beautifully folded towels, plenty of extras for our large group. The view was awesome, especially since it was snowing. It was like being in a Hallmark Christmas movie, according to another daughter. Needless to say, we’d stay there again. Thank you Kyle……

“This is a great cabin for a stay in Southwest Colorado. The West Dolores river is feet from the house. The cabin has been updated and has everything you need for a perfect stay. The host was very responsive. I was lucky to find this property for my vacation.”

“This property was located perfectly for day excursions to Mesa Verde and Durango. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Very comfortable furnishings. My only suggestion would be to install screens on the windows and doors. We couldn’t open them at certain times of day due to the bugs.”

“Relaxing and quiet”

“We are well seasoned VRBO home renters, who know what makes a good property. This home has a very nice design, but needed TLC to make it truly great. A few of the issues: * The oven was broken, and replaced by a very small (dirty) convection unit on the counter. Not acceptable for the food that we always prepare and bring while on vacation. * Several pieces of family room furniture were "weathered" and need to be replaced. * The owners live in an attached structure, so we never felt totally……

“We often have trouble finding places with enough bed space when traveling, not here, sore than enough room, all in comfortable beds. All TV’s and appliance clean and working, including BbQ grill on patio. The property is about 10 mins. from Durango and shopping, but we found that a plus. Quiet property on ranch land and we watched deer grazing in the pastures around us while we enjoyed the hot tub. Game room is a plus especially with teens along. We would definitely stay again.”

“Communication and location of property was great, walkable. Loved Lolas diner next to it, and fridge in the room. And next to Steam works brewery. Check in and check out suoer easy. Parking lot easy to find. As someone with bad back the bed was not comfortable; made sleep difficult. This is a common complaint for most hotels I stay at. Floors were super squeaky; if me or my husband got up at night to bathroom would wake each other up. AC worked... but rooms were still hot and stuffy. Could……

“We stayed here for 2 nights and chose this place because it was just across the road from the Hot Springs. PRO’s: - Walking distance from Hot Springs - Very clean and modern accommodations - Roof top deck with mountain views, outdoor table CONs: -Had a few issues with a/c and heating unit. Remote control was not responsive and so had to be controlled by host remotely - thankfully she was very responsive. It can get very hot inside during the day and cool at night so I was a bit frustrated at……
