“My partner and I spent a week at the White Cottage... aka Ginger & Cacao. It was exactly what we were looking for and needed. The property really is carved out of the jungle and the gardens surrounding the cottage are absolutely beautiful. It was very clear to us that there was considerable thought in both designing and maintaining the gardens. We also loved being able to see an incredible number of birds, monkeys, agutis, and other animals. The cottage itself has a beautiful verandah that……

“No ac, no hot water, the directions were written by an idiot, filthy, the “shower” is dangerous and not worth the risk, the tub is disgusting and both would be in freezing water. The floor would be more comfortable than the bed. No privacy. The owner of the property can not communicate and when he does he lies. We asked for ac and hot water to be fixed he asked us to mess with his electrical then said someone would come fix it which never happened. He also expected us to blindly sit at the……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariposa. Sharon is a wonderful host - she prepared us early with tips for restaurants and area activities. She was very responsive, communicating and responding quickly and thoughtfully. The house is perfect. We especially enjoyed the hammock! It was well appointed to make meals, relax, etc. We used the bikes and appreciated the beach towels. Definitely reserving again!”

“Lovely resort tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. You wouldn’t even know it’s there. Need to have coffee makers in the rooms along with access to communal water and ice. For the price, it was expensive.”
