"This place is amazing. I spent the weekend here with my fiancé and dog. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil and piece of cookware you should need. The screened in porch is perfect for enjoying a coffee in the morning or a beer or glass of wine in the afternoon. The bathroom is huge and the walk-in shower is great after a long day of hiking. The living room is comfortable and there’s every streaming service you might need on the tv including cable. Mount Scott is about a 5 minute drive and there are dozens of beautiful hiking trails within 30 minutes of the front door. We plan on booking this place next time we visit the refuge and will probably do an extra day just to have more time to hang out in the house. The Holts are amazing hosts and provided everything we needed to have a wonderful weekend."

"This was a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend it a million times over. I had very good communication with the owner. She was very responsive to all of my inquiries. The one thing that I would really like to point out is that the kitchen was very stocked. If you like to cook, as I do…. You are in for a treat 🤗They have every size pot, pan, glass, utensils and seasonings that you will need. Thank you 😊 My family and I would definitely recommend as well as plan another visit"

"My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Almost nothing is open in Medicine Park Monday through Wednesday, but it means the trails and lakes are also quiet, and we enjoy that. The cabin is beautifully situated and very private for something within easy walking distance of downtown. We hiked the narrows, watched the sunset from Mt. Scott, mountain biked the fire road just two miles from the cottage, and kayaked. The weather was perfect and the bed at night was extremely comfortable. Overall a great experience. I would definitely stay here again."
